Private tuition courses
Select Learning Centres run a variety of tuition courses including:
11 Plus Courses
We have an excellent track record in preparing children for their 11+ exam. Children start our 11+ course up to a year prior to taking the exams.
All key subjects are covered including a programme of verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Pupils are also given guidance on interview techniques. The programme includes whole day tuition from 9am – 3pm during the school holidays, in readiness for final exams in January.

Maths Courses
Select Learning Centres provide tuition in mathematics for students of all ages, from key stage 1 numeracy, through GCSE and A-level modules. We believe that small achievements can be built on to give enthusiasm for the subject itself, which in turn speeds up the learning process and allows access to the higher grades.

English Courses
Select Learning Centres provide English tuition for all age groups and levels of ability, from our early years English tuition which consists of basic phonics and letter recognition to our A-Level tuition which looks at classic novels, the history and development of the English Language and the use on media and non-fiction.

Science Courses
Our Science tuition is for all age groups and levels of ability, from our early years Science tuition which covers all the basic theories to set a solid foundation for the higher level science tuition. In KS4, science is then split into its core subjects and tuition is then specific to these areas and theories.

ESOL (English for speakers of other languages)
Our language tuition follow a clearly structured course and are taught in our well equipped and comfortable classrooms. The benefit of this type of structure is that you will have a clear understanding of the grammar and vocabulary used at each level.
We use many different resources and teaching methods to give you a real understanding of practical English.
